Brake Pledge videos

For Road Safety Week 2016, we spoke to five people who have been directly affected by road crashes where the drivers were speeding, drunk, not wearing a seat belt, distracted or had poor vision.

SLOW: Avril Child's daughter was killed by a speeding driver.

SOBER: Tina Woods' son Finlay was killed outside a school by a drink/drug driver.

SECURE: Jeremy Williamson lost three friends and his brother because they were not wearing seat belts.

SILENT: Elaine Corner had her leg amputated after being hit by a van driver who was distracted by a hands-free phone call.

SHARP: Reverend Brenda Gutberlet's niece Natalie was knocked down and killed on a pedestrian crossing by a driver with poor vision.

SUSTAINABLE: Watch the video and decide: which journey sounds better to you?
