Fundraise for Brake!
Help Brake prevent road deaths and injuries, and support victims of road crashes, by fundraising during Road Safety Week.
Many organisations, schools and individuals run fundraising activities during the Week as a fun, lively way to promote road safety within their community. We have some great events and ideas below!
Join us this Road Safety Week as we aim to collectively cycle 9,740km to represent and raise awareness for the 9,740 cyclists and motorcyclists who are killed or seriously injured on our roads each year.
We are looking for participants to ride static exercise bikes across the UK to clock up the kilometres to help us reach target total of 9,740km.
Find out more here.
There'll be posters and banners in your action pack to put on display and you can use the event as an easy way to raise funds. Either collect sponsorship money, display a bucket or collection tub for donations or have a competition to see who can cycle the furthest.
It doesn't matter if you're an avid cyclist or never ridden before, everyone can pedal as little or as much as they can to show their support.
And it's a great way to get the whole office or school involved, just like the pupils at Hessle High School in Hull, pictured left. They cycled a combined 500km and raised £400.
Road Safety Superhero Day
Team up with our Pledge Squad and dress up as your favourite superhero to help spread the message of safe driving, while raising vital funds for Brake. Whether you put on a character t-shirt or a full costume, with your support, we can create a world of zero deaths or serious injuries on our roads.
You can take part at anytime. Get together with your friends, classmates or work colleagues and encourage everyone to dress up as their favourite superhero.

Why not: take part during our national Road Safety Superhero Day on the Friday of Road Safety Week - Friday 23 November 2018.
On Saturday 24 November join us at Brake’s first ever charity ball. This fantastic black tie event will be full of entertainment, fine food and fundraising to help mark the end of Road Safety Week.
It will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Lincoln. Tickets are just £40 each or £375 for a table of 10.

Bake for Brake
Grab your apron and hold a Bake for Brake fundraiser. Making a load of cupcakes is the simplest thing in the world, but everyone loves them, particularly if they know their extra calorie intake is all in a good cause.
You can have your own one-off sale, or sell tasty treats during a big event, such as a school fete, coffee morning or charity night. And why not hold a pay-to-enter baking competition for your friends or colleagues? Helen, right, has been Baking for Brake for the past few years. Read her story.
